Heather Phillips

Heather has been with Awanui since 2021 and leads the Corporate Affairs function of the business including our internal and external communications and media, brand management, and public and government relations. Heather led the rebrand of the former nine laboratory brands under the APHG umbrella to become Awanui. Prior to this, Heather built a successful digital communication services agency in Wellington specialising in health, property, IT, pest control, and horticulture.

Over the past 12 years Heather has worked on public affairs campaigns with patient advocacy groups including Crohn’s & Colitis, Multiple Myeloma, CLL and prostate cancer. She brings a pragmatic approach with extensive hands-on experience in supporting organisations to develop their platforms for ongoing connection, engagement and advocacy. 

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Victoria University of Wellington.
