Dr Michael Dunnet

Dr. Michael Dunnet is a post-doctoral fellow working in the caner genetics lab at Otago University, under supervision of Professor Parry Guilford. Dr. Dunnet completed his PhD in 2022 in the Anatomy department of the University of Otago. His PhD identified several epigenetic biomarkers for inflammatory bowel disease and examined their potential use in a clinical setting. A significant portion of Dr. Dunnet's research focuses on computational biology, which he is now applying to the development of a novel colorectal cancer detection method.
