Dr Tom Varghese

Dr Tom Varghese is a healthcare professional with over 15 years of experience in clinical practice, healthcare governance, and health technology. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Tom began his career in specialist clinical practice, as a Clinical Orthodontist. He now works with Aceso Health, where he helps enable better care coordination in New Zealand’s healthcare settings with enterprise-level software solutions. He also holds a Masters degree from the Business School at the University of Auckland. 

He is an elected board member of the Digital Health Association New Zealand, a trustee for the Men's Health Trust New Zealand, and is the Chair of the Board at St Mary's Catholic School. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors. He has participated in the OnBoard programme to bring fresh expertise to start-up boards and has been a Board Observer at AI start-up, Formus Labs. 

Tom has contributed to journals and magazines on topics such as telemedicine and healthcare governance. In addition to his professional roles, he volunteers with Creative HQ and Business Mentors New Zealand. 

Raised in Dubai and having lived in India and New Zealand, he brings a multicultural perspective to his work. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
